Rules / Policies: Correct Exterior Paint Colors

Did you know your home has a specific color combination, one that must be maintained in accordance with Aspenwood Architectural Guidelines? Before painting the exterior of your home, you must verify your proper paint colors with the management company. Why? Paint fades over time. Also, prior owners might have painted the house using incorrect shades or color combinations. Buying paint that matches faded paint or incorrect colors will cause you to receive an Architectural violation. Again, prior to painting, you must verify the proper exterior paint colors with the current management company.

To assist homeowners in purchasing the proper colors for the outside of their homes, a special arrangement has been made with Duron Paints & Wallcoverings. Enclosed in your homeowners packet, you will find a Homeowner Discount Card. When the card is presented at the Columbia Duron Paints and Wallcoverings location, the card holder will receive 25% off all paint products and 15% off all sundry products (brushes, rollers, etc.).

The local Duron store is: Duron Brokenland, 9691 Gerwig Lane (Spaces G & H) Columbia, MD 21046, 410-381-7620. You may also use McCormick paint colors, available at McCormick Paints in Ellicott City,  3276 Bethany Lane, 410-750-2900. The Committee recommends using McCormick paints as they are pre-mixed standard colors.
